The 6th Annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival comes to Invermere on Saturday, November 23. It’s a night of shared food & drink, story telling, documentary films and the power of the people (that’s YOU!). There will be AWESOME door prizes, a 50/50 draw and a silent auction. This is the annual fund raiser for Wildsight Invermere.

2019 is our 30th anniversary and it's because of strong community support that we continue to be the environmental voice of the Columbia Valley.

This year’s selection of 11 films includes a focus on water, plastics, farming, glaciers, bees, polar bears and fish eggs! We'll be showing documentary films from around the world -- from Nepal to Norway to New Brunswick -- by paddle board, mountain bike and an ocean-going raft made of 15,000 plastic water bottles. With the world's youth mobilizing to protest inaction around climate change, the students at J.A.Laird are planning to get involved with a project around plastics for our event.
